Getting a Joomla menu with jbackend was created by webcraftniray
Hi all,

I'm trying to find a way to fetch data from the menu manager component using jbackend.

It would be extremely useful to be able to build a menu using the Joomla cms then use that to recreate a menu in my app via http request.

I may attempt to build this as a plugin but I'm wondering if jbackend does this natively (like users and content) before I do this.

Regards

Ray

Hi Ray,
this is a good point, but unfortunately you are the first one to ask about it so at the moment there is no module to get the menu list and the menu items.

I will start to work on this module in a couple of days, and I will release it when ready (it should take a couple of days, not more).

Kind regards,
Luigi

Hi Luigi,

I'm now using this plugin to get affect in my web app. I'm now able to add menu items in Joomla that are reflected in the app.

Excellent feature! :)

Many thanks again! :D
