unable to redirect content from folder

unable to redirect content from folder was created by jennyscakes
hi, trying to redirect about 150 html pages to about 12 'section' menu pages in joomla. for example, would like
www.jennys-cakes.com/old-site/bride-and-groom-wedding-cake-A.htm
www.jennys-cakes.com/old-site/bride-and-groom-wedding-cake-B.htm
www.jennys-cakes.com/old-site/bride-and-groom-wedding-cake-C.htm
from the old html site to be redirected to
www.jennys-cakes.com/wedding-cakes/bride-and-groom-wedding-cakes
on the joomla site.
have tried all sorts of wildcards, none of which working, and even as last resort just tried redirecting from
www.jennys-cakes.com/old-site/bride-and-groom-wedding-cake-A.htm to
www.jennys-cakes.com/wedding-cakes/bride-and-groom-wedding-cakes
and even this is not working.
As an aside, checking the .htaccess file and cannot see anything added in here by redj, don't know if this is normal or not. Any help much appreciated!

Hi,
the rule should be:
The From URL will match any URL in the form:
www.jennys-cakes.com/old-site/bride-and-groom-wedding-cake-WHATEVER-YOU-WANT

To URL: {scheme}://{siteurl}/wedding-cakes/bride-and-groom-wedding-cakes
Request only: true (checked)The From URL will match any URL in the form:

Hi Luigi, have carefully followed your suggestions (and cleared browser and joomla cache) but still not working... Should this entry using redj be putting a corresponding entry in the .htaccess file? (not seeing anything relevant in there.) Thanks, Tom

Hi Again,
interestingly, if I try to access a url following the pattern but not actually existing, such as
www.jennys-cakes.com/old-site/bride-and-groom-wedding-cake-wsdfdsfdsfs
this DOES redirect, but using any of the 'actual' urls such as
www.jennys-cakes.com/old-site/bride-and-groom-wedding-cake-B.htm
the redirect does not work.
Could this be related to caching, and if so how could it be sorted?

Hi Tom,
I have a suspect, please, tell me if this is your scenario.
It seems you have ReDJ on the new site, and there is still a real site under /old-site. So, when you call an OLD existing page, it is provided by the web server, while when you call a NON-existing page, the error is passed to ReDJ which redirects the client.
Is it right?
