Hi there,
Thanks for reading this post.
I'm having problems getting ReDJ 301 redirects to work in my joomla 3x site
I have installed it fine,
put in the old url put in the new url, but it doesn't seem to work.
Do I need to make any other setting changes, for example 'use url rewriting'.
If I need to do anything could you please let me know, but bear in mind that I am not a web developer, just someone struggling with techy talk.
Thanks
AL

Hi,
probably there's a problem with your redirection rule (rules are powerful but they require a little to master).
Can you post here how the rule is set?
Thanks,
Luigi

...by the way, I know the rules for items 3 and four are correct, I just wanted to get the first two up and running before I set about the others. I have about 200 pages that I want to redirect from one old website to the new one, and as these are all indexed in google, I need to redirect them.
Thanks
AL

Hi,
rules are not working (hits counter is still zero) because the From URL is a regular expression, so you must escape special chars like ? and .
Try these (literally, I use macros in the destination to increase portability):
From URL: ^/index\.php/treatment-areas/all-hypnotherapy-treatment-areas\?id=126$
To URL: {scheme}://{siteurl}/index.php/component/content/article?id=299
Request only: true (checked)
From URL: ^/index\.php/treatment-areas/all-hypnotherapy-treatment-areas\?id=212$
To URL: {scheme}://{siteurl}/index.php/component/content/article?id=306
Request only: true (checked)
Kind regards,
Luigi
