I recently upgraded my Joomla 1.5 site to Joomla 2.5. The old site used Tag Meta.

The installation of Tag Meta for Joomla 2.5 didn't work as planned:

Error

TagMetaInstallerScript::install(): Plugin installation failed

Message

Installing component was successful.

Plugin plg_system_tagmeta installation failed: try to fix the problem and install the package again


When trying to use the component this appears:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JController::getInstance() in /Mypath/Mypath/public_html/Mypath/administrator/components/com_tagmeta/tagmeta.php on line 25


When uninstallning this appears:

NOTE: Tag Meta database tables were NOT removed to allow upgrades


I can understand that this has something to do with an old version of Tag Meta on my system, but how do I solve the problem?

This thread can be closed/deleted. I hade installed Joomla 3.0 and not 2.5. My mistake.

Isn't it compatible for joomla 1.6. Just installed it on another website but it is not working
