Hi Luigi,
yesterday I updated TagMeta Enterprise to 1.7.3. Now I get an Error 500 on some articles. The Joomla error message is:
500 - iconv() [function.iconv]: Detected an illegal character in input string
Example URL:
www.heilpaedagogik-info.de/kinder/kinderlieder/lernlieder/863-fuenf-finger-hat-die-rechte-hand.html
When I deactivate the TagMeta rule which matches this article then everything works.
Image of the TagMeta rule:

I thought that it may has to do with the German umlauts in some article titles (for example "Fünf ..."), but the error also occurs with some articles which do not have umlauts in their title.
The most other articles work. I cannot figure out what is different with the articles where TagMeta causes the error.
Could you please help me with this?
Thanks a lot!
Marcel

Hi Marcel,
sorry for delay but I have first checked your reported issue. I have difficult because I do not use the iconv function into Tag Meta. I trust you that the problem is caused by Tag Meta and disappears when you disable the plugin. But I cannot fix if I can't replicate it. Is there a way to clone your site (even without any data) somewhere so I can make some tests?
Thanks,
Luigi

Another thing...
the error should not happens, but looking at your rule, you are calling an URL which doesn't have the id so the first placeholder will not have a valid value to be used in the second one...

Maybe I got what causes the issue (JString::transcode which uses iconv). Could you, please, post here or send me at info(at)selfget.com your page content? I need to replicate our rule on the same content...
Thanks,
Luigi

Thanks a lot for your reply, Luigi!
you are calling an URL which doesn't have the id
Oh! What exactly is the mistake? I thought I fetch the id from the URL, then the article alias and then put both together. And it seems to work.
