Hi folks,

I need your help configuring the CSLookup v2.2 plugin's parameters.

I'm using RSForm! component to build up some forms. I have defined two fields Country and State with respective fields' IDs and would like those fields to be populated by the plugin.

Here is what I got so far in the plugin's parameters which populates the fields fine:

index.php/component/rsform/form/4-download-gartner-report;Country;State

However, I don't understand what should be my configuration in order for Australia to be selected by default in the Country field and Victotia in the State field. I read through your help page here www.selfget.com/products/cslookup.html but the instructions are not clear

BTW, the original link to the form page is: index.php?option=com_rsform&view=rsform&formId=4 which then gets optimised by Joomla to be index.php/component/rsform/form/4-download-gartner-report. Which URL should I use in params?

Your help is much appreaciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
plugin settings seems wrong. You should set non-SEF variables. Try this:
option=com_rsform,view=rsform;Country;State

Be sure "Country" and "State" are your field id in the HTML code.

Kind regards.

Thanks for getting back to me.

You are right - my site is configured to use Search Engine Friendly URLs. When it's turned off, your example works. Does it mean I can't use the SEF urls?

The other question was - how should I configure the params in order to have a default country and state?

Thanks for your time.

Hi,
you can use SEF or non-SEF URLs, no matter. But CSLookup works with internal (routed) URL variables, separated by a comma, so you need to configure as I showed.

About the second question, CSLookup is able to preserve the initial value, so you just need to set it elsewhere.

Kind regards,
Luigi

Hi Luigi,

I figured out how to use internal URLs. So this part is all good. Thanks for that.

However, I still don't understand how to set default values. In your example (here www.selfget.com/products/cslookup.html) you have the initial values automatically pre-selected to "USA" and "Colorado". How is it done? In your reply you say: "...you just need to set it elsewhere". Where?!

Could you please provide a clear explanation?
