Hi there, I just discovered your jBackend component looking for a REST joomla solution for our project
Tell me if jBackend is capable of this already, and if not tell me if are you willing to develop some of this stuff for jBackend
1. Joomla Menu / Article / Category Support (Available in jBAckend)
- retrieve joomla menus and sub-menus
- retrieve joomla categories and sub-categories
- retrieve joomla articles
- publish joomla articles (i think this is also supported)
2. EasySocial support
Currently we use EasySocial together with JFBconnect for achieving this:
- users account and registration is done thru EasySocial
- Social login and integration is done thru JFBconnect
- Easysocial is providing the "notifications" system for the users
- EasySocial is providing the "messaging" system - personal messages - "PM's" between users
- EasySocial is providing the "profile" system for the users
Is there any jBackend module developed for EasySocial (user registration and login , notifications, messaging, stream, users profile ... and so on ) ?
Is there any support for JFBconnect or any other way to allow social login and registrations for the users ?
Basically our needs are pretty straightforward
- Joomla article system (read and create articles)
- EasySocial for user "management" (notifications, messaging, profiles, stream)
- JFBconnect for Social Login / Registration

Yes, API available for each module listed are documented here:
www.selfget.com/documentation/jbackend-joomla30.html
About the second question, there is no module yet for JFBconnect and EasySocial. I am creating an EasySocial module right now, but only to allows to publish a story on a user's diary.
As additional note, you could create these module by yourself, all information needed are available here:
www.selfget.com/documentation/jbackend-joomla30/developers-guide.html
Kind regards,
Luigi

There is another component called "com_api" from Techjoomla that does the same thing. I have a feeling that yours is better plus being a paid extension is fully supported
techjoomla.com/rest-api-for-joomla
Anyway, the guys at techjoomla have developed an easysocial plugin for their api component.
Their EasySocial api plugin can be download here for free
techjoomla.com/downloads/rest-api-for-joomla/rest-api-for-joomla-1-6-2
Maybe you can get some inspiration from their code
. Their EasySocial api already supports notifications, social login and so on ...

Sorry for delay, let's do this.
You can give it a try, maybe it's good for you. If not, let me know and we can check it together to see how it cam be improved as a jBackend module.
Kind regards,
Luigi
