API für Joomla was created by menganadetal
Hello
my client (a sports club) has a Joomla Website. Now he is telling me that a handball association offers an API so that the information of the current championships can be displayed individually on the website of the sports club. I would like to know what must be done on the side of the website. Is there any plug in or component? (Rest API or so?)
Many thanks in advance.

Hi and thanks for your inquiry.
What you need is a Joomla extension able to "consume" external API, while jBackend is an API "producer". A solution could be to create a custom extension (e.g. a plugin) for this.

Kind regards,
Luigi

Thank you for your quick answer. It was clear to me that perhaps jBackend was not the correct section to put my question but the whole topic is quite new to me. Is there any tutorial how to create a custom extension or can you advice me an adequate forum where to put my questions? Again thank you very much!

Assuming you can do what you need with a plugin, a good tutorial on how to create a custom plugin can be found here:
