Hi Luigi et al,
I was wondering if you could consider a feature request.
I understand an admin can send a push notification via the Joomla backend. But I only allow skilled clients to access the Joomla backend and try to limit content creation etc to the frontend, where I have built a nice frontend dashboard.
The problem is, with jBackend and Push notifications, I have to allow my clients access to jBackend in the admin area of Joomla... Clients like to change configs and they will eventually break the site!
Is it Possible to consider allowing a "login only" frontend submission/scheduling of push notifications?
Many thanks for considering this.
Ray

Hi Ray,
in the latest version 3.2.0 the push plugin has API functions to create and send push notifications (no need to access to backend). Documentation here (check Norifications function):
www.selfget.com/documentation/jbackend-joomla30/push-module-api.html
Of course you must publish this plugin ONLY on a protected endpoint (with API key or with user access), otherwise everyne could create/send push.
Kind regards,
Luigi

Agh I see... I hadn't noticed that...!!
Excellent feature... This means my client doesn't even need to be in Joomla!
Many thanks.
