Clash with RS Comments blogging extension was created by jennyscakes
Hi Luigi,

I am implementing rsblog and rs comments, and the comments module is not working- I have raised a support call with rs joomla, and here is their reply-

When a request is made using the following URL it encounters 301 Moved Permanently instead:

www.jennys-cakes.com/index.php?option=com_rscomments

This can be noticed using a page inspector like FireBug when loading your page (which displayes the commenting system) or by trying to submit a comment.

You can ask the developers to setup an exception for com_rscomments and or workout a solution.

Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom,
it is right, when you call that URL you get a 301 redirect to jennys-cakes.com. If you think it is caused by a ReDJ rule, we can change it to exclude this, but I am not sure. Could you, please, share all current rules? You can send me an email at info(at)selfget.com, if you prefer. What I need is a screenshot or better a dump of the rules table. Also, check your .htaccess file for additional rules here (you can send me it as well).

Kind regards,
Luigi

Hi Luigi, there are about 40 redirects set up with redj, is there an easy way of creating a list or dump of these? thanks, Tom

You could send me a dump of ReDJ table from MySQL (e.g. using phpMyAdmin).

Thanks,
that is the right file. Here are some tips...

Rule id=2
jennys-cakes.com/index.* => jennys-cakes.com
And id=21
www.jennys-cakes.com/index.* => jennys-cakes.com

These cause the redirection problem. The right way should be (with just only rule, disable the other one):
From URL: ^/index\.php$
To URL: {scheme}://{siteurl}
Request only: true (checked)

There are also other rules that should be fixed but not related to this problem...

Kind regards,
Luigi
