Not redirecting far enough

Not redirecting far enough was created by BikerEditor
First, great product!

I am redirecting a bunch of old URLs to the new location but the redirect only takes the browser to my front page. Example

If I redirect the old
www.clutchandchrome.com/en/Great-Riding-Ideas/8-tips-for-a-great-time-at-sturgis-motorcycle-rally-073102.html

to the new
www.clutchandchrome.com/riding-tips/item/242-8-tips-for-a-great-time-at-sturgis-motorcycle-rally-2015

it takes me to
www.clutchandchrome.com/index.php

I'm sure its a simple answer but have googled and can't find anything!

can you please post a rule that doesn't work? I need to check it. You can describe the rule or post a screenshot with rule details.

I haven't posted any rule, just use the basic options of old url, new url.

I'm not a webmaster, only do because I have to...lol

How would I do a rule and what would it look like?

Ok, I understand.
You are using the "error" feature to redirect a single error item to a new URL. Assuming it works for some of your URLs (correct me if I am wrong) here we have something strange. If I call:

www.clutchandchrome.com/en/Great-Riding-Ideas/8-tips-for-a-great-time-at-sturgis-motorcycle-rally-073102.html

I get a 303 redirect, and this means is not a ReDJ redirect (should be a 301). Probably you have another extension or a .htaccess settings that manages this redirection. But I can't say more without to check your settings.
