Crosswired Redirects was created by sarademic
Has anyone experienced redirects getting crosswired? I create ReDJs for individual pages on my site often, but just now there's one that is somehow crossed or otherwise pointing wrong, and I don't know why.

The details:

Page #1 has a redirect set up in ReDJ as ^/spine$ This one always works correctly
Page #2 has a redirect set up in ReDJ ^/nis$ and always links to Page #1 for some reason.

I have encountered problems where redirect with the same first letter got crossed, i.e., /abc and /abcd. But these do not have the same first letters, and anyways that's what the ^/...$ is supposed to fix. I did nothing differently setting up the ReDJ for Page #2 from what I normally do, so I can't pinpoint the problem.

If anyone knows anything that would be a big help!

Hi,
rule 1 and 2 are different and the presence of the ^ and $ makes it impossible to overlap each other. Can you post some full URL examples for right and wrong redirections? You can get rid of the domain or use a fake one if you prefer.

Sure:

Page #2's URL is:

domain/books-main/radiology/product/3927-noninterpretive-skills-in-radiology

Page #1's is

domain/books-main/orthopaedic-surgery/product/3895-aospine-masters-series-volume-8-back-pain

So my ReDJ is set up so that domain/nis should linke to Page #2, but it always goes to Page #1

There must be a base problem here, because page 1 URL should NOT match ^/spine$ rule, and so the page 2 URL. Could you, please, post here your rules (From URL, To URL, Request only)?

Sure:

Redirect that's not working:

From URL: ^/nis$
To URL: http://www.domain.combooks-main/radiology/product/3927-noninterpretive-skills-in-radiology
Redirect 301
Request Only: Checked
Decode URL: Checked
Case sensitive: Not Checked
Redirect for the page that /nis is sending me too.

From URL: ^/spine$
To URL:http://www.domain.com/books-main/orthopaedic-surgery/product/3895-aospine-masters-series-volume-8-back-pain
Redirect 301
Request Only: Checked
Decode URL: Checked
Case sensitive: Not Checked

OK
FROM: www.yourdomain.com/nis
TO: www.yourdomain.com/books-main/radiology/product/3927-noninterpretive-skills-in-radiology

NOK
FROM: www.yourdomain.com/spine
TO: www.yourdomain.com/books-main/orthopaedic-surgery/product/3895-aospine-masters-series-volume-8-back-pain

For the second one, I get a 404 error code from Joomla, so probably the rule is wrong (e.g. check blanks). If the hits counter for the rule is still zero, it means the rule is not working.
