So, how does this thing work? It is installed and activated, but that is as far as I have been able to figure out. I need a plugin that will automatically generate meta tags on each page with a minimum of input by me. I will also need to be able to tweak individual pages.
Are there actually any instructions for this extension, or do I have to submit a question every time I need an answer?

unfortunately neither ReDJ nor Tag Meta allow you to do nothing "automagically", so if this is your main requirement, you should search for another solution out there.

About the usage, there is a tutorial available for each extension:

Tag Meta:
selfget.com/downloads/file/10-tagmeta-quickguide-j15.html

ReDJ:
selfget.com/downloads/file/6-redj-quickguide-j15.html

Please, take a look so you can have an idea on how they works. Our solutions are very powerful, but neither for dummies nor for impatients... :)
