Not automatically.
If you need to redirect to a replacing URL, then you must reate a rule. In ReDJ there's a plugin option to redirect (automatically) any error to a certain page, but in most cases is better to control what redirect.
We have a new extension ready to do exactly what you describe. Is ready and it will be launched just after vacation... hold on.
