Cannot understand why this isn't working.

I have only one rule defined:
From: ^/fred/*$
To: http://{siteurl}/some/other/page

I get a 404 error if I browse to site/fred or site/fred/

However if I remove the "^/", and try to match From: "fred", "fred/" or "fred/*$" the redirect works fine.

Is it something to do with the site running in a subdirectory? The joomla instance is running in nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn/joomla_subfolder and there is an Apache RewriteBase rule "RewriteBase /joomla_subfolder" in .htaccess.

I wouldn't have thought so, as the macro {siteurl} includes the joomla sub folder as expected...

I clear the browser cache after every change to ReDJ.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi,
just add the /joomla_subfolder in the plugin under advanced settings -> base path. It should solve.

Best regards,
Luigi
