Redirect RSS feed? was created by 17dm
Hi there, is it possible to use reDJ to have the URL of an RSS feed as: www.website.com/feed/ instead of www.website.com/feed?format=feed&type=rss ? I can't seem to find anyway of doing this in Joomla, if possible could you show me how?

Hi Wayne,
it should work. You can create a redirection rule as follow:
From URL: ^/feed/$
To URL: http://{siteurl}/feed?format=feed&type=rss
Request only: true (checked)

After tested you could enable the internal redirect (but only with the Enterprise version) to have te short URL to work without the redirect.

Thanks for your quick reply, unfortunately it doesn't work, do you think the enterprise edition would do the job? Happy to buy it if it does...

This is the RSS feed:
teleosvet.com/teleosgerman/rss?format=feed&type=rss

this what I need it to be:
teleosvet.com/teleosgerman/feed/

and the attached file is how I set up ReDj

Hi Wayne,
it doesn't work because you told me your URL is www.website.com/feed/ while your real path is /teleosgerman/feed/ and the caret ^ means "start with". If teleosgerman is the root folder for your Joomla site I suggest you to leave the rule as is and add this into ReDJ plugin options (base path under advanced settings);
/teleosgerman

If not, change the rule adding as follow:
^/teleosgerman/feed/$

Sorry Luigi, I should have said that.

That is working now, but I would like the URL to remain as teleosvet.com/teleosgerman/feed/ after the redirect, is this possible with the enterprise version?

Yes,
the Enterprise version supports "200 - Internal Redirect" that allows to remain (on the client side) on the same URL but provide the redirected page (is a redirection internal to the server).
