Hi,
I am missing something somewhere and I can not figure it out.
I have built a new site on a new url. Now I need to direct my old website to my new website.
In the From url i put =
www.oldsite.com/ and in the To Url i put =
www.newsite.com/. However nothing happens...... that is I type my old URL and it takes me to my old site.
I have tried to redirect a couple of categories from the old to the new site. But I did not have any luck.
Why is it not working and what am I doing wrong?

Hi,
assuming Joomla and ReDJ receive both the old domain and the new domain requests, you should create a rule as follow (literally):
From URL: www\.oldsite\.com
To URL: {scheme}://www.newsite.com{path}{queryfull}
Request only: false (unchecked)
If you still get troubles, send me a dump of your ReDJ table (I need to check rule by myself).
Kind regards,
Luigi

Ok It works!
But I need to get the rest of my site forwarded to my new URL......... and I do not understand how to do that? I have read your documentation and do not get how rules work.
When I try to enter the url from a section of my old site to my new site it sends a 404?
How can I have it not send a 404?

I am not sure to uderstand your question. The rule you created will redirect any requests from the old site. Which is the URL you are not able to redirect? What does it mean "enter the url froma a section"?
