Using Joomla 3.3.6 and ReDJ Enterprise 1.7.7

I am running into the issue where a redirect I set up for a specific alias is also affecting aliases with similar names.

Specific example.

I set up an alias for african-american to redirect to another url like this.

The url I want to redirect: african-american
.....will also end up affecting
african-american-1
african-american-ensemble
music-of-mexico-and-african-american-ensembles

What can I do to make it only affect that one alias and no other.

As a temporary workaround I put it in as a Redirect 301 in my htaccess file, which is something I'd rather not do. I prefer ReDJ.

I'm sure there is something I'm missing to make it all work in ReDJ
