I wish to use this plugin to generate meta information for the meta description and keywords for the articles while leaving the other functions of SEF404 intact.

If I disable the meta function on SEF404 will this module work without issues?

Hi,
I've tried both modules together in the past and I had no problems. You can just check the Tag Meta Community version.
