assigning rel="canonical" was created by denis.mior
Hello, I bought the enterprise version of tag meta.

I'm not a programmer so I don't understand how to set the canonical link on the pages of my joomla site www.media-network.it

from webmaster tools I see some duplicate pages (Pagine con tag title duplicati):
/it/cad/51-contenuti-in-italiano/servizi/302-grafica-e-comunicazione.html
/it/home-it/51-contenuti-in-italiano/servizi/302-grafica-e-comunicazione.html
/it/it-shared/51-contenuti-in-italiano/servizi/302-grafica-e-comunicazione.html
/it/servizi/formazione-professionale/51-contenuti-in-italiano/servizi/302-grafica-e-comunicazione.html

This one above should be the canonical link:
www.media-network.it/it/servizi/grafica-comunicazione-aziendale.html

I'm already using the redirect component by J2.5 but I'd automate all canonical links.

how do I set the canonical link for each page of my website? should I create a new rule for every page and place every bad link on this rule? How do I fill the form "create new rule"?

Hi,
these are all "aliases" created by the Joomla routing. You can set the canonical creating a single Tag Meta rule that matches all of them. Fortunately, all have a "common unique pattern", so a single rule is enough:
URL: /51-contenuti-in-italiano/servizi/302-grafica-e-comunicazione.html$
Canonical: http://www.media-network.it/it/servizi/grafica-comunicazione-aziendale.html

Please, advise.

Kind regards,
Luigi
