Hi,
I recently downloaded CSLookup 1.1 for my site in Joomla 1.5
Your plugin looks like just what I need, but I'm having a little problem.
The plugin works properly: the user edits his profile page, select his country and his state (eg. Italy and Lazio) and in the end, saves the settings.
But, when the user re-edit his profile page, fields country and state are not displayed as the last save.
The user must re-select another time his country and his state.
In practice, the last saved data are not displayed. Every time it resets the selection.
I think it's just a display issue.
It is possible that the first selection is always displayed?
Maybe, this problem has been resolved with version 1.2?
I hope you can respond and give me a solution.
Thank you very much.
Regards
Marco

Hi Marco,
as you can see from the example at
www.selfget.com/products/cslookup.html the plugin now should be able to work with input and select field type, and in both cases if a value is present, it should be preserved.
Please, try to upgrade to 1.2 version, save plugin parameters and retry. If the values set are saved, then should be initially selected when edit the second time. If not, I can help you to fix the issue.
Kind regards,
Luigi

Hi Luigi,
Thank you very much for your response.
I upgraded to 1.2 version and save plugin parameters.
But my problem is not solved completely.
When a new user registers (so for the first time) fields COUNTRY and STATE are saved so perfect. It seems to work ok.
In a second step, the user tries to edit the data in his profile (... let's assume that he have changed residence in the meantime):
1) he finds fields COUNTRY and STATE as he left after registration (... and that's fine).
2) Then, he try to select another STATE and another COUNTRY. But when he saves the changes, an error message appears at the bottom of the page: "Profile not saved. There are still errors in the fields."
In practice, it is not possible to re-edit the COUNTRY and STATE fields after registration. Once registered the fields, they can not be modified.
The only way is to make a new registration from the beginning (... sorry, but unthinkable).
Also, I noticed that the text that I insert in the tooltip area (backend) does not appear in the frontend. Whi? What could I do to see the text in the tooltip?
I'm doing some mistake?
Thank you and kind regards.
Marco

Hi Marco,
with the information you provide me I can suppose the problem could be that fields you replace with CSLookup are configured with some javascript check.
Is it possible to test the registration? You could send me a private message at info(at)selfget.com with the link to test (and better with a user to use for login process).
Please, advise.
Luigi
