uninstall was created by RobertG
Hi,

Excellent component. However, I want to uninstall it. But attempting to do so rendered the front end of my site unavailable: FATAL ERROR.

So, HOW DO I UNINSTALL YOUR PACKAGE/COMPONENT/PLUGIN?

Robert

Just uninstall the package from the backend. It removes component and plugin. Then remove redj tables from the database.

Any kind of errors in the frontend cannot be due to ReDJ cause it has no frontend part and if plugin is disables it cannot break your site. Check your things...

Kind regards.
Luigi

I did that. Got a message saying Uninstall Error. Referring I think to the component (or plugin) which is part of the package. Message also said it may have been uninstalled already.

But the trouble began when I deleted the ReDJ tables from the database. That gave the Fatal Error in the front end.

Install again and remove the package. After removed you can drop tables.

It definitely does not work to drop the tables in the database.

The problem I have is I do not want to use your custom 404 page. I already have one with my template. But I cannot turn yours off, even when it is set to "no" in the plugin.

And having uninstalled your package, your custom 404 page is still in place (after I put the dropped tables back).

Hi Robert,
if you disable the "System - ReDJ Community" plugin, then ReDJ will stop to do anything, included the custom error page. Plugin disabled, no ReDJ code executed. If you get trouble, probably there's something wrong with your site. Follow this steps:

1) Install ReDJ package again;
2) Disable plugin and check all is working;
3) Uninstall ReDJ package;
4) Now you can drop redj tables.

If you need help to remove ReDJ let me know.
